Doesn't seem likely that the JV group was sloppy enough to leave a "hole" in the center of their prospect. They locked up their land when the acreage was plentiful and prices were still cheap. So all the piggybackers and scavengers coming in now are stuck with the leavings and have paid dearly for them, too.

Sam,

<<< By drilling an exploratory well (deep test) to a specified depth within the Miocene Temblor formation below 14,500 feet, and establishing paying production therefrom, Solana can earn a 100-per-cent working interest and a 74.575-per-cent revenue interest before payout, and a 73.625-per-cent working interest and 58.9-per-cent revenue interest after payout. >>>
SOP doesn't own anything. They have to spend millions drilling a well before earning any interest in this 40 acres.
