ASWX quiet period ended but she continues to rise, could LIOX sell off on the qp day only to move onto to higher gains, it fits the pattern IMHO.

That's what I'm thinking. Even if I sell some LIOX, I plan to continue to hold a core position. Hope I'm right.

Kaliico, Help me here gang. For what it is worth. . I don't see a clear pattern in these. . .some pop well before the 25 days. . some after on upgrade. . .some not. . .some spike and drop. . others don't stop rising. . .

I am playing these as daytrade/swing trades . . . minimum of DD and maximum of studying trading patterns, float, momentum, charts, etc. .

Yes, on supply/demand. . .my guess is that all of this speculative fever on IPO's is just as we saw several months ago. . .Daytraders picking them off and literally calling them off one-by-one. . .they jump into one push it up, jump out and run to the next. . . .making it a crap shoot to be in them at the right time. . . that is why I am more interested in SELLING today than buying. . .

We did our buying. . .we picked the right ones. . .for goodness sake. . .we did a fantastic job of picking the right ones. . . but as they pop, if we sell. . .we are traders. . .if we don't, we are investors. . . .today. . .I want to be a trader in IPOs. . . .and an investor in the great stocks that we selected throughout the summer. . .like TUNE/LDIG, ADAP, LQID, T, INTC, ADFC, ARTT, CNET, CMGI, ATHM, COVD, NXTL, NT, NITE, HLTH, GBLX, and on and on and on. . .

So as these IPOs pop, I am focused on the volume. . .if they get several million traded, then volume drops off steeply. . .I am jumping ship and moving on. . .I may still reload. . .but this is my strategy on IPOs on days like this. . . this is the sort of day we wait on. . .and suffer the losses. . .as we await the pops.

But the most important thing to remember is this. . . .once we take profits on a stock. . .it must be RE-EVALUATED from scratch. . .to decide if it still shows great potential. . . . not just automatically re-load. . .there may be better candidates. . .

Let's discuss the candidates from scratch as they pop. . .to check potential. . .they won't all go 'to the moon.'

ALWAYS RE-EVALUATE. . .BEFORE RE-LOADING.

Kal: the observation about the supply of IPO is a VERY good one....as you said, it will likely change the current QP dynamic and reduce flow of speculative money... so what may happen ... please, all join in if you have a comment.

Possibilities to watch for??

1. Shift back to "blue chip" inets? ( I'm in ATHM and have been watching consolidation, however, over the last couple of days it SEEMS to be offering pre advance signals)
2. Internal internet sector shift? ( I have been watching E*tail sitting on bottoms and starting to look better) and sector to sector rotation
3. Move back into a XMAS mode? link to 2
4. Others?????
