Craig,

I generally don't trade before the first 60-75 minutes except for one specific setup involving a fast sell off following a big up day.

Think I'm right more than wrong seeing the early setups but my "belief" level in what I'm watching is always very low at this time. And, looking at my trading pattern overall, I make 80% of my money in the mid to late afternoon.

Alan

All the pundits say the opening hour is for the amateurs all starry eyed from reading about a hot stock the night before and placing a market order before running off to work. In my experience, market orders at the open are a consistently good way to lose money. Just look at PCNTF today.

Or they are a consistently good way to make money shorting.
