No questions. Just a comment.

Winning a Rhodes Scholarship is a heck of a lot harder than just getting into Oxford. It is the honor of being selected that counts -- only 34 American college graduates a year are awarded a Rhodes. Only then do they "apply" to Oxford, and that is a separate process. You do not lose your title of "Rhodes Scholar" if you end up not taking a specific degree at Oxford....
