a good example of why it's important to know * why * a stock is moving before acting on it.

PRECISELY!

That is why I keep on preaching that.

Somebody knew. . .MM? Brokerage? Insiders? Your guess is as good as mine. . .probably a manipulated run up to dump major size shares into the strength. Rest assured that Stockwatch will be on top of this one. . . . I don't trade PAIR for just such reasons. . .

when a stock trades dirty once . . it will trade dirty again.

KT- Honestly I have been away all day and hadn't seen that Pair had warned. Just unbelievable!! Fortunately, I passed on it yesterday as I was too late to the party for my liking. It is of the utmost importance to know 'WHY' a stock is moving. This was most definitely classic manipulation. This stock has had some very strange goings on in the past. I have stayed away since the fraud incident. I am still relatively new to trading (1yr)and have found that everytime I jump into a stock at an inflated price such as the situation with Pair on Friday I have always regreted (sp?) it. It ends up being an emotional buy instead of a well thought out buy. I just refuse to buy on emotion. My first thought yesterday on Pair when I saw the volume surge was that they were going to be bought out. After I found out that they were just moving on an upgrade, I just decided to pass.

Daniel Mack
