In the interest of hearing opinions from all quarters, both pro and con, about MRVC, their products, and their future, I posted a query on the Juniper (JNPR) board on SI, asking for comments on the Linux router that MRVC has announced.

This is not an attempt to start an inter-board flame war, but a sincere effort to get all points of view. The only negative point of view posted here in the last few months has been from Dana.

The link below is the first response to my query.

The post after this one will carry a link to the second.

BP, before internet stocks were valued extremely high as a group, a few leading stocks were usually unmatchable in price; next Coke Cola, next McDonald's... are valued lower. As I understand, even one can prove MRV Comm. has competitive products in the near future as JNPR/CSCO's, Market is not convinced that demand for the products will be higher than supply. Only a few leading companies can survive, as we have observed network industry since 1995. Winners sure absorb losers. This might have explained MRVC is valued much lower than others.

Under current market conditions, I believe the internet infrastucture sector will be valued higher, probably is being valued higher, as it's in the early development stage. Demand will surpass supply. Happy to see MRVC is one of the leading co. in the sector.

Time will tell the results; MRVC is invincible just like Uniphase since 1994 or MRVC will be bought out before it competes with others.

We have to wait until dream turn to reality.
