Gibbons,

I'd like to tell you that I am absolutely thrilled since switching from eSignal to QCharts. It is an awesome piece of software.

I'd like you to add a couple of items to your "wish list":

1. Give us the ability to put "filters" on a quote window loaded with a hotlist. For example, I'd like to limit the display to stocks over $5.00, or 65-day-avg volume over some figure. Having the ability to place multiple filters on any column would be powerful!

2. We need a "news" index window (ahem... like in eSignal) that would allow us to see headlines. Allow us to filter by source (PRNewswire, etc.), sector, or symbol.

Is there presently a good real-time news feed available for QCharts?

I've Lost Hot List Capability
I am using Version 2.3 Build 9 and for some reason I notice that I can no longer access the Hot Lists (all selections are grayed out). I deleted the TEMP files but nothing changed. What's going on?

Thanks
Bob Scott

Gibbons, why do Instinet quotes stop at 5:15? I seem to remember this being the case with other systems I've used also.

Thanks,

sf

Dynastore for Quote.com

has been released. It connects the real time feed from QC to Tradestation 4 or 2000i, or Metastock Pro 6.52. For those that are interested, more info is available at dynastore.trading.net

From QCHarts Support...

Please be aware that we did not receive a reset from S&P Comstock on many, if not all, stock and index options. Also, included is CBOE Indices (i.e. TYX.X, SPX.X). This causes a daily bar not to appear, and the net change, net %, volume, high, low, and other indicators to reflect yesterday's values as well as today's. It is unknown at this time, when a correction can be put into place, but we will update the group as we have more information. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Hello Gibbons,

A lot of time, my option trades do not appear on QCharts. why? Even after opening/closing a position, the volume does not appear on QCharts, it happens quite often... Also for options I always find E*Trade quote (bid/ask) more reliable than QCharts. In this scenario, the whole purpose of Qharts is lost. IMO it is a serious issue. To be fair to QCharts, I do not find this problem for options of a few select blue chip stocks.

Not to mention, QCharts does a poor job when it comes option chain, as several members have already pointed out. I do not find option chain for MANY stocks, not just one or two.

Thanks,
DB

Gibbons: Next question where is the chart data for the last couple of days for the TYX Index.

Oh by the way thanks for getting back to me in a timely manner regarding the lack of data for the HFX.X Index...NOT! It has been a coupe of day on that one...

You guys are so good in some areas and sooooooo bad in others?

Regards,
LG

Gibbons, I realize you have probably been busy, and the problems seem to be diminishing...thanks for all the hard work.

In addition to my question as to why Instinet quotes stop at 5:15, I'm wondering if there is any way to determine where each after hours trade is executed, and if not is this a possibility in the future.

Still dealing with a lot of frustration with options chains...particularly the October and January options with wrong symbols. I have already reported CUBE, NOVL and TBH, but the problem seems very widespread. Do I have to report each occurance individually? This is a real problem for me in that I'm currently dealing primarily with January on out. Please update me on the status of options problems.

Thanks,

sf

Gibbons: Now QCharts customer correspondence on this thread and the "one list" has now falling to the depths of your regular customer service...."no reply"!

I have posted you several times on this thread and on the "one list", I have not received one reply in over a week. Tsk Tsk

Once again I ask you, where is the missing data for the TYX Index (9/16), why is there no chart data for the HFX.X Index (last chart data 9/14), where is the missing chart data for the DOT Index (end of Friday)?????

There are others, but this is a start!

Regards,
LG

Gibbons,

One Qcharts addition that I'd love to see in the Alert section is a text box in which you have ability to add a short note when the alert is set, so that when it pops up, you can jog your memory about why you set it in the first place.

Others have also requested the ability to reset alerts from an alert that's triggered. I echo that request; it would be far simpler to set a new level than to add a new alert.

Finally, can you please respond to a question that I've asked several times without a response: Will we be given the ability to chart multiple securities in a single chart (and is that a feature that will be offered soon)?

Thanks,

99
