Given the brilliance of the Athlon design, and the speed with which it was successfully developed for production, it isn't surprising that those responsible for it are highly sought after. Are you saying that there are no such problems at Intel? Isn't that something of an insult to Intel's design staff?

PS. Just want to make clear that I think that Intel's desigers are equally good. My guess is it's the political crap that they have to design through - primarily "rambus no matter what" - that is holding them back right now.

Aside to PB/tenchusatsu - might we have seen Coppermine months sooner if 820/840 were targeting PC100/PC133?
