The pro Creationist defense to such an argument is such: Since there is a God And God is all powerful Why couldn't God put fossils in the fossil record, and make them seem older than the world. Arguement two, same assumptions. The fossils are of creatures that died during Noah's flood. And the scientific methods used to date them are flawed, why couldn't God change the decay rate of Carbon over between Noah's flood and now.

It's just that most people don't know what a scientist means by a fact. It is also accepted by scientists that it is a fact that the Earth and planets revolve around the sun. What does this mean? The fact of evolution is that life today is different from life in the past, but is decendant from life in the past. There are theories about how the fact of evolution is accomplished. The two primary are Natural Selection and Punctuated Equilibrium. Do not confuse these theories with the fact of evolution. TP
