I've had similar experiences with HP. Own a scanner and printer, both of which I purchased around 4 years ago. Never had anything but frustration and failure when it came to dealing with their live(?) tech support. Although it appears HP can make a decent product, apparently customer service is a mere afterthought in their business model. I'm with you, they're not getting any more of my business, as long as reasonable competition exists.
