Not necessarily true. A potential buyer may want both Palm & the cream of their networking. Even if a buyer doesn't want palm, they make more selling it themselves. Then there is the oldest play in the book - buy them and sell off the parts separately which are wo=rth more than the whole.

This news just may force a suitor to move more quickly.
