Bill, you are categorically correct, what the CEO did today was raise the ante for any possible suitor. The longer the possible suitor procrastinates the more they will have to pay. In the mean time we shall enjoy the surf while they haggle with one another.

This is a really good point

This news just may force a suitor to move more quickly.

Maybe why thats why Eric did not announce any details today.

But of course, most of what mgmt does is half-ass anyway. Why would they produce a clear plan on just what it means to each shareholder to spin off PALM.

Naaaaaa, lets just throw out some half-ass plan and keep people in the dark about what their share might be worth in a new company. Further lets keep them in the dark a few quarters out so we can pull the wool over their eyes for the upcoming shareholder meeting.

Even when they do something right, they do it with a complete lack of credibility. I love my COMS mgmt.
