Incyte acquired Synteni, a gene chip firm. That may be where the conflict arises. The Synteni chip doesn't appear to be a major portion of Incyte's business, so this may be a dramatic overreaction. Since I have both AFFX and INCY I just wish they would quit spending my funds on suing one another, dammit....

Mike,

Taking you back, but can you elaborate on your remarks on INCY and AFFX and the 'ripoff'. I hold INCY and I've noticed that they seem to lose out in the publicity department to the flashier companies & CEOs. Here's a post of mine re the recent 'Nobel for Blobel' (BIO) and his 'connection' to HGSI (Reuters story excerpted), if you're interested:

Craig Venter finds his way into the news rather often too - usual story: Entrepreneur Craig is going to beat the Human Genome Project - no one else mentioned as in the race.

If you can elaborate further on the 'ripoff' I'd like to hear. I assume it's nothing that will affect the stocks of INCY, AFFX ... (Any current wisdom on these and HGSI, Celera, etc. most welcome also)

Thanks,

Doc
