Let me be the first to post that I just hung up my Sprint ThinPhone from my very first wireless web surfing session!!! Went to Yahoo Finance, checked the Q stock price, read the news, etc. It is finally here. Very reasonable response---not slow at all. For those of you with a ThinPhone, launch the minibrowser from the menu, wait for all the security elements to be generated, and surf away! Way cool.

GregM, on scheduling for conference

more likely the conflict arose from a sudden need to meet regarding whatever might be brewing... if JV partner wanted to meet to discuss tactical maneuvers.. or if carrier wanted to meet to discuss supply lines.. or if supplier wanted to meet to discuss component contracts/prices.. or if if if

then QCOM would diss the Cowen jackasses as 2bit players, meet the real players, AND be ready for NYC on Wednesday

my guess is the cancelation is not only to ensure readiness for NYC, but something last minute will add to the good news

I am optimistic and Irish but not pie-eyed, a rare combo

anybody notice that low for day at 11AM not breached???

/ jim

Greg: What a sudden meeting conflict? Out of no where a meeting came up or he forgot about it? If there was nothing to cancel for other then what they said, then they appear disorganized.

There does not exist in the top offices of Qualcomm some assinine state of disarray like what might be found behind a fast food counter with a weak manager. Consider at least one scenario: intense negotiations of global influence over wireless telecommunications were in pivotal stages this morning. Perhaps Mr. Sulpizio and anyone who could reasonably sit in for him were directly involved in negotiating with Vodaphone terms over which Q has influence or control. Big red and blue chips the size of refrigerators are rolling around on that table, and others. My guess is that there is no "conflict" between what Q management is doing and what they should be doing.

Ever make a commitment to do something and as the date approaches so many other things come up, you keep thinking you can still pull it all off, but it becomes obvious you can't at the last minute and something has to give?
