Well, having never attended one, I cannot relate to the feelings you get from marching in the Gay Pride parades. But I do feel, especially if I were a parent of a gay child, that the "loonies" marching in those parades, even if a minority, do a grave disservice to gays. It is not valid to dismiss the behavior as some kind of equalling of the score with straights. It's simply a matter of flaunting their lifestyle in the faces of not-so-hip straight America. Similarly, at a Catholic ordination in Boston a while back, a gay group called ACT UP disrupted the service by storming the church and the hugging the newly ordain priests dressed in wedding gowns and "birthday suits".
