Even if there is no "God" or whatever, it may be possible that our prayers, our very concentration, may be of help. I do not know....

As for Elizabeth Seton, she was tiny, delicate, and very high strung--although not nearly as much so as Teresa of Avila!

As for the coloring, think of the weird whiteness....

As I said, I disagreed with my mother. I found that extraordinarily wild whiteness very attractive and wish I had inherited it. I am much more of a "cream" complexion.

I still have the crystal necklace that Seton gave me shortly before she died. (Not the saint, the cousin--who, btw, married one of the Grace family.)

Seton could be a pain in the ass, but she was also hot stuff!
