I agree with you 95%.
I don't count out MSFT for 2 reasons:
1. cash. They have LOTS of it.
2. Brand recognition and media exposure. MSFT is a "trusted" (really not trusted, but a known name) name, and they own ALOT of media outlets (MSN, MSNBC) and can "make" their own stories, should they decide to.

ORCL has more vision, better products and a lead. So did NSCP. ORCL has more cash and better partners than NSCP. Still, I don't just wish MSFT away. They won't go without a fight.

I think they are a great short over the next 12 months, however.
