RE: <From a benchmarking point of view, I personally am waiting for the major publications, like PC Magazine, to publish their tests.>

Of course, at that time it will be too late to make any adjustments as an investor since whatever is going to happen will already have happened.

From Anand: <The ideal comparison (in my mind) would be an Intel BX based motherboard and SDRAM running a Pentium III 600 (100MHz FSB) versus an Intel 820 based motherboard and RDRAM running a Pentium III 600 (100MHz FSB), then the same comparison using the 133MHz FSB. And guess what I have running on two separate test beds in the lab? :)>

He will clearly be ready to post results when the embargo is lifted and may get there a little early by posting at 12:01 AM or maybe a day ahead of time. He may be young but I'm going to be watching closely.

DaveB,

Update on the Apex guy.

Apparently he got some more DRIVERS from Intel and said performance was MUCH better.

Hopefully he will post revised data in a gew days.

I got this from an e-mail on a BBS take it for all its worth.

As far as Anand is concerned - this is a premier web-site that lots of folks check out - and the fact he is 16 years old is NOT a negative - he is simply that good.

regards,

Kash
