Totally unacceptable if you ask me. Look at itwo, they have the same or worse demand and revenue mgmt issues and they do a fair job. Pretty much every small enterprise software company has a tough task to manage growth and expectations and yet they do it, some better than others but nobody is as bad as orcl!

And I have to say that old "a few big contracts didn't close"... excuse is a little scary... I don't think I've ever had that actually turn out to be nothing. Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the software pool.... (and I added to agile today - argghhh)

What I find humorous in this statement is that ORCL met estimates. How is that a blow-up?
LE NEVER said he'd surpass estimates. He said he was comfortable with them.
EVERYONE else screwed up....not ORCL or LE.
An investor's inability to know what's going on is his own problem......
