Hiya, Completely agree.... It's investing , but NOT GG investing.... I like Lindy, and his great info, but that was a PERFECT example of: 1- What not to do i.e. time the market fluctuations 2- Invest 100% in 1 stock ... absurd. 3- Dump a stock he BELIEVES IN due to rumours... Agree completely with you point(s). GG investing, it is NOT ! Take care Jean

I read a lot of messages expressing the view that he should not have tried to time the stock. Even our leader, Uncle Frank, publicly disagreed with his decision. but let's stop patting him on the back for what is very un-gorilla like-trying to time the market. Since you're a self-acknowledged newbie to the thread it's understandable that you haven't had the time to appreciate the sense of community we've got going here. We disagree with each other on a regular basis while keeping a smile on our face. And when we think someone deserves a pat on the back, we're quick to extend the helping hand, even if the pat isn't 100% consistent with the primary theme of the folder. --Mike Buckley

Nichols, you are hardly a newcomer to G&K. I found posts by you in June, which qualifies you as an old timer around here, and when I looked in your profile, I found a perfectly gorgeous collection of G&K stocks. We are a very cordial group, as I hope you've noticed. Don't confuse camaraderie with approval. Actually, I've been surprised that so many have taken digs at Bill. He's helped lead many of us to returns we would have never dreamed of. I'm glad to have you as a part of the thread. uf
