I was told yesterday, Compaq is slashing the org. chart, letting people go indiscriminately. What's happening to this company?

Imagine award winning functionality and industrial design of AAPL in CPQ boxes!

Sorry - I think AAPL's innovative days are far in the past, and am unimpressed by anything but their stock price. I was a MAC user until 1994 (used PCs too but all my communication and word processing was on MAC). After Windows95 came out I changed horses and never looked back.
