No, I don't know about the energy thing. I don't have kids and am not 40. My mother was 40 when I was born though, but I was adopted. I think they would have liked to have gotten me earlier but had to wait a few years. But she worked fulltime at a time when women really didn't work. All the self-esteem problems that teenage girls have I never had, I think it was because she was her own woman and my primary roll model. So, contrary to popular opinion I believe working women make better moms than those that stay at home, UNLESS the stay at home mom is really sure of herself, etc.
