Speed and quality of order execution among "Direct Access brokers" for aggressive daytraders is a lot more consistent among the top dozen direct access brokers than you may think. Reading the hype of some individuals who favor specific "Direct Access brokers" confuses many on this point IMO. That said, I go back to my comment earlier in the day:

In my opinion, the main priority for aggressive daytraders is controlling commission costs. Thus, it is important to analyze what avenues of execution one uses the most, and to try and identify the firm that will give you the lowest costs in using those avenues of execution.
