You response is lame. Shall we discuss SUNW's great desktop OS?

They are in different busineses with some overlap. Each will change with the times maximizing their strengths.

Those on a religious anti MSFT jihad seem not to understand that.

Oh well.

Briefing.com on Oracle's Conference Call

Microsoft is Absent

Another interesting side note from the conference call is Mr. Ellison's repeated assertion that Microsoft software is remarkably absent from pure internet companies. Mr. Ellison claimed 93% market share among publicly traded internet companies. He also stated that both Amazon.com and Yahoo! were completely free of Microsoft operating systems in their web hosting environments.

Mr. Ellison is one of the great promoters of the computer industry, prone to hyperbole at times, but he doesn't invent statistics like these. Although we knew that Unix is extremely popular for web hosting servers, it is news that both Amazon.com and Yahoo! are Microsoft free.

You can always confuse MSFT shills with the facts.

Microsoft still has its investments and can always "innovate" ala VISIO.

But it's hard to see a long term future for their woefully obsolete stable of operating systems (are there seven or eight now?) and an overpriced office suite. I like Hotmail ... oh, yeah ... they bought that too ... it's free ... and it runs on FreeBSD (Linux). Oh well. They have cornered the winking paper clip market.

Best of luck.

If I were you, I wouldn't go long on M$FT. SUNW has them
where they want them: on the ropes, and is ready to
start hammering away...

It's the fanatacism against Msft that makes me think that most people on this thread aren't playing with a full deck - or are McCheesy brainwashed.

In your case I think you've just been stuck in the kitchen too long.

hehehe
