I would have to believe until close to 100% 800 MHz yields are achieved, 100% of chips have to go through battery of tests. Slumberger wouldn't comment on how long it would take to deliver the equipment.

No way can sample testing be used on a product like this. Each chip has to be fully tested. By the way, this is something that Rambus did not seem to appreciate. Several years ago I asked them what the strategy was for testing these 800 MHz pins and they never could give a real answer. They tried to claim that their interface would be "guaranteed by design" which is a joke.
