Alan,

When you get out like this, do you just take what they are offering. I mean is it like a market order? If not, why wouldn't a regular limit order work just fine?

I'm still trying to grasp the value of all that speed.

Ken

Alan, I use CyberX Limit also. But, I haven't differentiated the entry versus exit as much as I should. Your point about using CyberX Limit to exit is well taken. I'm going to focus more on this.

Regarding OE, in CyberX you can go direct to Island or Attain, SOES out an order, or preference an MM or ECN using SNet. I focus on CyberX and Island. But, with other options, is there any reason to trade:

Direct to Attain - Haven't seen much liquidity here.

SOES - I'm afraid of using SOES (many bad comments on this thread).

Preferencing a Market Maker - Given the recent history of dodging orders, I don't know why I would want to preference an MM except for pre or post market perhaps.

Preferencing INCA or ARCA - Done this once or twice. Tried a going long at the ask once to INCA in the premarket. Not sure why no one took it.

Preferencing other ECNs - Low liquidity. Not sure why I would want to.

Any comments on these other options?

I've used Island with some success in the premarket. Any comments on this?

Thanks in advance and good trading,

Dan.
