First of all, neither of the analysts cited in the article has any seriously high standing in the investment community; this should be understood.

Think back to the fiscal third and fourth quarters, which were also dramatically different in terms of "expectations" vs. results. Although the company's earnings are not "smooth," averaging to a trend line should give investors what they wish in terms of growth, albeit not every quarter.

However, this bumpiness in quarterly results is one of the reasons I don't see the stock staying much above $50.

BTW, Larry's prediction, as I remember it, had to do with the full fiscal year rather than any particular quarter.
