<< He was no more religious than the man in the moon ... >> ??? Koresh thought that he was Jesus. Doesn't that qualify as a little religious? << but, while he stockpiled weapons, there is no evidence that he ever killed any one. >> Let's compare Koresh to a bunch of cannibals that you live next to. One day you see them stockpiling lumber for a big feast. Then you see them trucking in large bottles of "human" barbecue sauce. When you look out the window at supper time, you see a large tub over a fire with your name on it. Now, as you say, they haven't eaten anyone yet. Do you: 1. Go over there right before supper time and offer to drive them to McDonalds? 2. Go over there right before supper time with a bad case of B.O. and picking your nose? 3. Get them as far away from you as possible? Please let me know your answer before the next dinner time. <g> << ... but the parents of those children could have walked out with their children at any time or just shooed them out the door. Why didn't they do that?? >> You have just asked the $64 million dollar question! The news was there that day. We had live action shots of the compound. Why did we not see parents fleeing with their kids? If your children were in there, you would go to any lengths to get your children to freedom, right? We did not see one Branch Davidian trying to flee with children. Just like at Jonestown! Almost all of the members of Jonestown were killed. Why didn't the parents save their own children there? Fire is one of the nastiest and most fearful dangers of this world. People will do anything to escape the wrath of fire, that is, unless they are being held hostage or are totally brainwashed, such as they were in Jonestown, and at Waco. 2 + 2 still equals 4.
