CharleyMike, I agree with you that organized religion is full of zealots, hypocrites, and other unlikable types with ulterior motives. I know we got off on the wrong foot the other day. And I apologize for my part. I'm only human, like everybody else. And I don't imagine that I'm better than anyone. I know for sure that I'm not. The only thing I want to say to you is to remember that sweet little old lady. I have nothing to gain by telling you this. And I realize that you may not want to hear from me, or speak to me, so I don't expect a reply. The only reason I wrote to you is genuine concern for a fellow human being. Sincerely, Colleen Kahn

Thursday's Where I stand; On Religion: I'm for the rights of any person to practice any religion they want so long as it does not involve any type of persuasion of any other person or any intrusion into their personal space. Intrusion should be treated as a minor assault the first time. Subsequent assaults would fall into the violent crime category. Proselytizing should result in martyrdom by stoning. Just think how many fanatics we could silence. I skipped over "On crime in general" because the discussion today seemed more concerned with religion. I am proud to be an American, a Texan, and a native Houstonian. I take seriously the concept of individual rights. Discussions such as occur on this thread stimulate thought and make one consider and re-consider one's position on some extremely sensitive topics. I am grateful for the right of free speech for us ALL Good night
