hi Dave, You realize that this Cameron woman is the same woman USA Today trotted out the last time they wrote a daytrading article... you remember she was wearing a stupid hat in her pic and was described as shouting "I NEED CANDY" in the office....

How many times will they re-hash this pathetic chick's story?

(i think) that woman was profiled in an earlier usa today story...approximately the end of june. in it, the 'daytrader' told how she had got companies like BOUT and a whole bunch of 2nd tiers on (ibelieve) margin, and wound up holding them from 40 -> 20. the article had ALL the earmarks of a compulsive who couldn't cut losses.

the part about blaming all-tech; i'd be willing to wager dollars to donuts that there was 'too large a stake' held overnight. isn't that the way they do that?

and don't all daytrading books say never carry home a loser? - bob

Dave,

What do you expect from the only group that never made it to the 1990s?

Alan

I just reread that article. The second person makes me madder than the first one. A 61 year old child, it seems, spending money he doesn't have, blaming his broker and even taking stupid trades to get back at the broker, then hoping the article will attract a "benefactor" to bail him out.

Where do they find these fools.

WOW,

"My wife and I would be fighting about the TV. She would want to watch something, but I would want to watch something financial, afraid that I might miss something,' Samueli says.

This cat lost 400k but couldn't afford a second TV in the process??

A brand new 25" is under $400; less than .1% of loss ;-/

Also,
Cameron says she thinks her personality isn't well suited to day trading. "I have been successful at everything I have ever done,' she says, ticking off her accomplishments: social director of her college sorority...

This was not in jest!?!?!?
