Systech and eStation.com Team To Market and Deliver Electronic Commerce Solutions To The Retail Marketplace
TORONTO, ONTARIO--Systech Retail Systems Inc., a North American leader in the provision of retail technology products and services, and eStation.com Inc., a supplier of electronic commerce software solutions designed to deliver public Internet access using private networks, today announced that they have signed a North American Strategic Alliance. The Alliance includes a reseller agreement for Systech to deploy their North American sales force to market eStation systems, including hardware, software licenses, software development, installation and maintenance programs.
eStation software delivers a continuously cycling, interactive multi-media retail sales presentation for an unlimited range of products and services, as well as advertisements, public service announcements and entertainment. eStations can be stand-alone networked e-commerce centers and/or eStation Cash Dispensing Machines (CDM's). Users can purchase goods and services, obtain cash, review important community and public service information, purchase event tickets, coupons, recipes, enjoy entertainment presentations or win prizes and gifts.
'What makes the eStation concept new and unique versus the vast majority of 'web commerce' solutions currently operating is that eStation software does not require a browser to connect to the Internet,' said John Tevlin, President and CEO, eStation.com. Being 'browser free' means that suppliers and customers can now be offered a degree of control, customization, speed and most importantly, privacy that simply cannot be delivered today using a browser connection to the World Wide Web.
eStations are designed for high traffic locations such as shopping malls, universities/colleges, supermarkets, mass merchandisers, drug/retail chains as well as convenience stores and service stations. Locations with highly targeted audiences, such as specialty retail stores, health clubs, specialty physician clinics and corporate wellness centers could also produce high demand for eStations.
'We are extremely excited about the agreement and the prospects for Systech,' said Kirk McCormick, Executive Vice President, Systech Retail Systems. 'Clearly, Internet-based commerce is the significant new wave in retailing. The browser free feature of eStation.com's software is, we believe, the last piece of the puzzle needed to generate widespread consumer acceptance of public access Internet commerce. By combining eStation's software and content delivery with Systech's retail knowledge and services capabilities, we can now offer our retail clients a cost-effective solution.'
