Hi Mike, The DSL linecard is not in use when a user makes a voice call. If a DSL customer is not using the internet, but makes a voice call, the user is not tying up a DSL modem in the DSLAM. As far as the economics of this is concerned, I have no insight into US WEST's cost analysis of this service. I would presume that the cost advantage of this offering will diminish over time as the DSL hardware costs decrease. In the meantime, however, the $19.95 price point will presumably create more market share. Regards,
