John, excellent effort. For the most part I agree, with the exception of part 1.

Re. rot and future earnings: Lost revenue is lost forever in the case of an opportunity limited in time as this is. That's somebody's money to maintain the system, pay bills, make improvements etc all which impacts future earnings. Even if additional financing is not necessary to replace that lost opportunity, it will be taken from other money that would otherwise have gone toward future earnings.

Re. testing and training: I agree, but the satellites were definitely not put up there by surprise. Management should have been better prepared for the reasons I stated above.

Re. soft rollout vs. handsets - let's see, no rollout because no handsets because no rollout because no handsets.....They should have seen this coming and made sure it didn't.

I don't believe they have not lined up some initial customers and had serious inquiries. They are just not telling either because they don't want to encourage the competition or because they are poor. We all know what people will conclude if they are left guessing

The rest I agree with.

Bottom line. I would not have minded an explanation such as we have discussed from the company. This rollout IS a difficult thing to do. After the explanation, they could tell us how they will address it, and what is going right. This is far superior to keeping everyone in the dark guessing - just my opinion on this one I suppose, but I do feel that a transparent organization is a more successful one.

Regards, Dave
