Didn't they ALREADY sell the stock they don't own? Therefore, their past actions are already priced into the stock. The only things they can do NOW is either drive the stock up by buying, or scare the longs into panic selling, or sell more shares they don't own (increasing the future upward pressure). So in the above scenario we have people forced to buy stock, and good news, both driving the price up. Is that something to worry about?
