I wasnt there, but several analyst's and my degree of seperation all said the same thing.
In one way I feel that we have all been misled by management. There have been rumors about the handset division being a money looser. However management has time after time reputed that by showing expanding Margins. It was the same routine with the Infastructure division? no? we were always just about to break even and start making a ton of money. It never happened. The same I think is occuring with handsets. I would guess the division was never really that profitible, and was being carried by the ASICS division. Heck companies like LU, and Siemens, and Sony couldnt cut it as huge manufacturers. Did we really think Q could pull it off? I think we will have a similear effect when Handset division is sold that occured when Infastructure was ditched. The margins, and profit Numbers will take another jump up. I think that is why we will have accretive earnings ASAP. Do you remember how down on the Infra deal you were? When all the facts came out did MGMT do the right thing? I guess we will have to trust them again.
I have always said I was neutral either way(sale or no sale), I am probably more pro sale now.
