Charles - <Agree with the dubious part but I don't understand how you can make a statement about bin splits and volumes. Volumes will be lower for AMD and bin splits - I doubt if you know. (I say that because your comments about bin splits stick out like a sore thumb compared to the other data points I have on that issue - suggesting to me that you may be mis-informed)>

I have very specific information on bin splits regarding the 650's. I do not entirely know how accurate it is, but the source is usually pretty good. And yes, the comment was meant to stick out like a sore thumb.

I fully anticipate the possibility that AMD will announce/release a 750 K7 in an effort to trump Coppermine. I reiterate that I am not overly concerned as long as various aspects of AMD's product launches keep holding true, i.e., paper launch. I trust Intel will compete behind the scenes to combat these methods, and that people in the industry who matter, i.e., customers, will make the best informed decisions regarding what uP they ultimately support.

As frustrating as it is to me personally, and my Process Boy pride, I believe Intel's standard business practices regarding product releases is in the best interests of the company long term.
