PB,
To demonstrate my age....
:o)

If the first Coppermines are slot 1, I'd think the launch would be a piece of cake?

Tenchusatsu informed me of this earlier.

"Wish the first Coppermines were a slot 1, I'd get me one.
They are. Socketmine won't be out until early 2000.
Tenchusatsu"

I have a Celeron 333 and PC100 memory (at 66) running on my Abit BX6R2 board, will the first Coppermines drop right in?

steve

PB,

Re:"<How many tier-1 OEMs will have CuMine systems available on the day of release? Consider your reply bookmarked!>

Fair enough. If Intel ends up looking like AMD on release day, I'll grovel on the thread appropriately."

While we wait to see you grovel on the coppermine release in October. How about telling us how many tier 1's will be selling the new PIII-133/Camino/RDRAM systems at same time as camino release next week.

Hint: BIG FAT ZERO.

regards,

Kash

PB, re:<Intel's October release of 7XX CuMine> Didn't DELL already say they would NOT have an RDRAM system ready at this release? Or was that the i820 release?
