Getting Shot at School, another school of thought could be that many have already looked in other places for answers to their questions. And found the answers they needed in Christianity. So it isn't fear that stops them from looking. They have simply found what they were looking for, so there is no need to look elsewhere.

Many are unwilling to accept other possibilities in fear their beliefs will be discredited.

Evolution looked at from a physical or spiritual process, are both
valid. Christianity has been lost in it's own delusions for centuries!

Like little children playing at God, Very, very dangerous, to deny the
Truth of Creation. The Universe is a marvelous place full of msytery and wonder. One of the wonders of the universe is fading now, and that
is, those sets of beliefs that do not embrace Evolution or the possibility that other creatures have souls...

Where you find water, sunlight, and enough time ,you will have the chance for life. Life much the same as we know here, sentient , evolving, on a million more planets than there are grains of sands in the oceans!

Yes, even the Christians will get this at some point.... that's what's called =Evolution, LOL!

:-)

>> if you stop teaching evolution, you cloud the line between facts and common beliefs<<

The theory of evolution is one of the weakest theories I have heard of that is taught in schools. If this theory were true then the evidence would be everywhere, hundreds of thousands of fossils supporting it.

I am a Christian creationist and was taught evolution in school and found that it takes more faith to believe in evolution than in creation.

Anyways, not to worry, Christianity

is a dying religion.... only 7000 applications to the priesthood in america this year... 25 years ago it was 70,000.

The Mythos is changing, the old is fading... no more will people be allowed to speak for god as if they "owned the book".

The new generations of men & young women want a direct experience of
truth and that lives in their freedom , not dogma and laws written in stone... but laws written in their own hearts...deep experiences that
come directly from god, daily. Which was ever their birth-right, as
human beings. To love and care for all animals, creatures, and all parts of god's creation. without the waving of banners!

It's not god that is dying , just the religions that tried to own and prostitute him.

Ahh, finally I see what you're after. The evolution/creation issue. I have been reading through the thread this beautiful Monday morning and finally see what GSAS (btw-an offensive name, used only to inflame the readers into responding)is after in starting this thread.

As one who has studied both sides of the equation for some time, I think I need to respond.
1) Evolution is not a science, so much as it is a religion (WOW, I can't believe he just said that). It actually takes more faith to believe that we are nothing more than the mathematical sum of "Slime + Time = Me"
There is no supporting evidence in the fossil record of any intermediate species. Where is that "Cromagnon man"? Where is "Lucy"? C-Man was only parts of bones that when studied further was proven to be a mixture of bones from man and a couple of other animals (check it out). Lucy - Basically built out of a jawbone. A jawbone of a pig. An extinct pig, later found to be not extinct at all. You can look at any other species of mammal, fish, fowl, or insect and I defy you to find any kind of intermediate between what we see now and what exists in the fossil record.
2) Look at Charles Darwin's book - "The Origin of the Species" Why is it that they (whoever they are) only give us half of the title Dr Darwin gave the book? The full title of the book is "The Origin of the Species and the Preservation of the Most Favoured Races". This book is basically racist/elitist and very anti non-white, saying that "the african/black man decended from the apes". Note however that it says nothing about the white fella's coming from apes... D'OH!
3)As to creation, I have yet seen anything to disprove it. Having studied it from the side of looking for something, anything to prove it a false claim. Haven't found any evidence to the contrary. If you have the proof I need to deny it, please forward it to us me.

As for you, Mr. Getting Shot at School, what school were you shot at? And, if you would, please defend your subject. What do you mean by the statement "Why do Christians want to rule the world?" What evidence do you have to support your claim?

THx,
