Dear GV: My answer to this price premium business is this: Is Mercedes worth the price premium over Lincoln? In the case of Mercedes its not only at the original cost but also in the upkeep. In EMC's case, while the original is higher the upkeep is less. JDN

I have often heard a rule of thumb that the stock market looks 6 months into the future. I always find a rule of thumb difficult to apply to a specific case, but do you think EMC is trading today on January expectations? If so, then Y2K may be behind us already.
