Robert,

Simple explanation, any sin, no matter which one, qualifies us to fall short of the glory of God. From the a lie, to the horrendous crime of murder, its all sin.

Romans 2:23
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

We, as sinners try to rank these sins, by our own standards. We cannot! One sin to one person means something totally different to another. Something one sins about might not be bad to them, but could be totally terrible to another person. It's impossible to rank them! Don't try!!

But what we need to do is try not to sin at all. And we should consider all sins bad and try to avoid them all.

And we all must remember God's good news:

Law 1: God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.

God's Love: "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16,NIV)

God's Plan: [Christ speaking] "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly" [that it might be full and meaningful] (John 10:10)

Hope this helps......

God Bless,
Steve
