No Don, your right. Capitalism is a always a bit immoral. I may have "lucked" out on Apple. Went short just at the close. Then the earnings warning. Trading is realpolitik. You gain an edge where you can. Rich

C'mon, Don. It was a joke about Via, for Pete's sake! Heck, you have a "world outlook" thread that is supposed to discuss world events and money. That is exactly what the quake discussion is about:

This Thread is intended to be used to talk about
High Finance - Economics - World Trade - Oil
Currency Exchange Rates -Gold - Geo-Political
Topics.. We can even talk about how to make money..
if you want.

Don Green

You're not trying to promote discussions about others misfortunes and ways to make money are you?

Don, I know you will find this hard to understand, but if someone benefits financially from an event like this it does not necessarily make that person gleeful. What happened today, happened. No one here went to church yesterday and prayed that an earthquake would hit Taiwan so he/she could benefit financially from it. No one had any control of this situation. Anything that affects our investment in Rambus is of interest. That's normal. An earthquake in Taiwan did, those in Turkey and Greece didn't. The concern that one's investment may be affected from any source in a positive or negative manner is also normal. And human nature dictates that one would hope to be affected in a positive manner, rather than in the negative. That's just the way it is. When you've been around the block a few more times you will learn these things.

You are such a complete idiot.

That line was a joke in reference to the CEO of VIA making comments about believing "that God was on their side" speaking as a "Christian". The only one on this thread with the personality of buzzard is you, Don.
