JCJ, Are you trying to terrify JDN about LINUX? He should get someone to install it for him. He should get his ISP to install it for him, if they don't already have it, or Solaris, and offer that reliability with a Unix shell account, (or shell equiv through Java). He should probably throw his PC away as soon as he opts to bump his phone service level up a notch. Look at Mr. Mephisto. He's an experienced geek running a client PC OS based on the availability of external administration. -JCJ
