Justa,

You've been reading too much Wien, Metz, Abelson and Brinker. Probably sprinkled in a little bit of Dudack while you were at it.

Quick, go for a little balanced Ralphie; even a raging "BAT"man.

Shorting the equipment sector just prior to earnings season during the strongest upturn we've seen this decade sounds somewhat suicidal to me.

Even if it is just for a trade.

Easy come, easy go, I guess.

Good luck,
Ian.

FWIW, I initiated short positions in TER,
KLAC, AMAT, NVLS and LRCX as of today for a trade only.

Justa, I am shocked to find you of all people short the equipment sector. <G>

Actually I agree that it overvalued, and I agree that this week could offer a decent shorting opportunity, but I think you may be a day or two early. I would suggest that you probably don't want to stay short past the middle of next week though.

Good luck,

Carl

Very interesting and gutsy move shorting the big four and LRCX. Since I dumped AMAT and KLAC I'm just still holding TER and NVLS in small amounts. You've been very sharp on these trades usually, it will be interesting. Good luck with AMAT and KLAC<g>

Justa,

What kind of a drop do you look for in AMAT, TER, KLAC, etc. Would somewhere in the 10% range be on target or are you looking for more as a trade ???

How does he do it? Is it a crystal ball? A short-term marketiming model?

Nice trade,
