InfoStream,

LOL, I guess it all depends on how you define lying. The most obvious lie is that he reminds us several times a day that "GUMM is a fraud". You may disagree, but this is a lie. Fraud connotes the intent to deceive, and this is entirely false when it comes to GumTech. I could provide countless examples when Bill might not have lied, but twisted the facts in such a way that they grossly misrepresented the facts. I really don't want to rehash all these things. They are scattered about this thread and on the GUMM thread over the weekend.

I'm not the only person on SI that has had problems with Bill. He may well be a good stock picker overall, but his character leaves a lot to be desired (my personal opinion). It should be obvious that anybody who is constantly in trouble with others has some sort of a human relations problem. I have had cordial discussions with people that are short stocks I own, and I short stocks myself. The issue isn't whether you are long or short: it's how you deal with people.

I wouldn't say that I'm nervous about GUMM although I am concerned that people are trying to manipulate the stock. As with most low float, low average daily volume stocks, they are easier to manipulate. This, combined with the fact that I have a large position in the stock, give me more reason to aggressively defend the company against misleading attacks from short sellers. You folks can label me a shill or any other name that you want. I'm only doing what any sensible person would do when confronted with the same situation.

I appreciate your suggestion that I sell part of my GUMM, but I made a decision several months ago not to trade much of it. I held enough NITE at 7 1/2 last December to nearly retire on four months later. I also held enough TUNE at 4 3/4 in February of this year to nearly retire on three months later. I sold both stocks for small gains relative to where they eventually traded. I truly believe that GUMM is an excellent investment, and I'm not going to trade it. It won't be long before we see how nicotine gum and Zicam do, and how the stock reacts. If things work out, I'll make a bundle. If they don't, I'll take my loss and life will go on.

Best regards,

Dan
