Sam,

Agreed that the tragedy in Taiwan will have a negative effect on the share price today.

I am doing my part by holding all the shares in my brokerage account (many of which I have owned for 12 to 18 months) and doing the same with those shares in my IRA.

The raw wafer supply was a problem even before the earthquake. I see the setback as temporary and don't believe that it undermines SanDisk's stability in the long-term. I hope the institutional support feels the same way.

I hope that SNDK has been able to meet the OEM demands (for the bundle agreements) for the upcoming digital cameras, CF based mp3 players and MMC based mp3 players by the Kodaks, RCA's, Nikon's... of the electronics world and is able to get volume production on target for the aftermarket demand beginning in January 2000.

I am trying to scrape up some cash and will be prepared to buy shares if we see a setback here.

Today will test SanDisk's resilience and the fortitude of its investors.
