Rande, 2- 4GHz plays...

Hi Rande,

I understand your play on this.

I am just starting my research on this. I may even be confused (can you believe it?!... me confused? ;) ). This confusion is most likely due to the recent press of some fairly pricey stock runs in ECIN and AMPD who were touting their breakthroughs, but the comparative pricing is not visible in these releases. So, it makes me weary of the hype within.

At Adaptive's home page, I found a product called AB-Access. The overview mentions it is for roughly the cost of a cable modem. However, they don't mention the comparative costs to buildout the ISP/carrier end. I have to do my DD and I hope I run across an example of why AT&T would use it to bypass the LEC's.

Have you taken a look at Metricom? I have been thinking about them as they seem to be deploying wireless at 128K in unlicensed spectrum.

Just my opinion, and always interested in yours.

Jon :)

Randy, what about the(silent)piece of the Wireless broadband puzzle? Namely the Tower/Wireless Facilities Management Companies.Seems to me that the likes of SBAC,SITE,etc..will see substantial business/revenue gains due to the Wireless Broadband phenomenon, which by the way is just now coming to the forefront as a great last mile option.
