Voltaire, I have enjoyed your analysis of market activity and comments over the last few days. They are very refreshing. I look forward to your insights. You mentioned that the market is controlled by a few large brokerage houses. How can you tell what these houses are doing. Is it just your general familiarity with the market or do you have some statistics or other information you follow?
Thanks,
Robert

VVVBG
I see your point.
Short term hysteria as happens so often...the problem is I cant remember what triggered the big correction on Aug 31st and Oct (was it 4th?) last year....it couldnt have been anything much more substantial..or was it?

lovely rant, VoltageMan... you are wired today
all true, agreed uniformly

today was dominated by currency issues... the US dollar is under pressure still... worryworts with minor brown stains on their undies sold stocks bigass... I believe stocks were led by futures traders en masse... over a billion shares on Naz (please no doublecount comments)... smelled like a climax to me

stocks that peered into new high ground simply saw their new highs taken back... we are still poised for a rally, once everyone realizes that the Fed is done, inflation is nill, earnings in Q3 will be pisser, and Y2K will be a yawn

what do I know?
