Last year the decline started in the last week of September

As long as you disregard the slide from July 20 on, and, oh, did I mention the 531 point decline in the Dow on 8/31/98?

September slide? Hmmm, this chart says the slide ended in early October, and shows LU trading flat, not sliding now.
