Hi Bobby. You posted..." Gold Fields Ltd said it bought 12.5 percent of the gold for sale, while fellow producer Anglogold , the world's largest gold miner, said
it had unsucessfully bid for some of the gold."
care to speculate ? "
Like I said earlier just when I think I'm starting to understand the gold market a bit something like to-day happens and I find I still know nothing.
Speculate----Someone on this thread posted not to long ago that a way to help the POG would be for the producers to buy any CB gold
sales----- Think it was Ken that posted that not sure-----.
So why would the producers need CB gold ? Have they been buyers
of CB gold in the past or is this something new ?
Would they need it to cover forward sales? Not likely they would have a short position. Just don't know. What do you think?
Take care
Lorne
