Colleen, I don't think I clearly explained what I meant by denominational church. I too go to a place where all of the others think as I do about another human,or self appointed committee, which more or less forces it's congregation to follow a man-made set of rules and rituals based on how some other human beings decided how God should be worshipped, which generally adds up to altering the original Bible text to suit their own agendas. Where we go is sometimes called an "Evangelical" church without that being to name of a denomination, per se. We do a lot of singing for joy, in a tempo that denotes joy, instead of listening to the drone of an organ playing hymns that sound like funeral dirges. We have a 12 piece band that fills the hall with happy music. The talks by the pastor are all studies of the Bible and anyone is permitted to make any comment about the message at any time. A charitable work is done on and "as needed" basis, such as, helping out local victims of fires, floods, etc., so we all know exactly where the money goes . I might add that it is truly a non-profit organization.^ ^^TD
